Season Two Premiere of Supergirl By: Allison Costa

Miraculously, Supergirl made it to Season 2! But she did get moved to a new station. The CW has pretty much solidified itself as the channel for all things Super Hero, which means taking Supergirl under its wing, or cape, as the case may be. They have already done a great job with keeping The Flash, Arrow and DC Legends of Tomorrow connected with cross-overs, now they just need to figure out how to add Supergirl to the mix.

The season premiere lent itself to a few storyline changes as well. Mainly the introduction of Superman–the actor is not who I would have picked–and the squashing of any romance between Kara and James Olsen. Any of you who have followed my reviews from Season one know that one of my main complaints was that there was absolutely ZERO chemistry between James Olsen and Kara a.k.a Supergirl. Although the end of Season one had James & Kara all set up to finally be a couple, the CW must have agreed with me, because in the season premiere Kara lets Jimmy know that she feels they are better off as friends. She is making some changes to her personal life, including becoming a reporter, and trying to figure out how to be Kara and Supergirl. Similar to how Oliver had to figure out how to be Oliver McQueen as well as The Arrow and to not let himself get completely lost in one identity.

They also introduced a new villain that we will see next week and upgrades and improvements to the DOA center of command.
