Noah Kahan has taken the season of the sticks to a sixth consecutive week at Number 1 in the UK. Stick Season is going nowhere, now becoming the longest consecutive Number 1 run on the Official Singles Chart since Dave & Central Cee’s Sprinter last summer. It once again ends the week as the most-streamed song in the country (8.3 million streams).
Two rising stars gain career firsts today; securing their debut UK Top 10 singles and solidifying them as ones to watch for the year ahead and beyond. US singer-songwriter Benson Boone has been steadily rising with Beautiful Things, and today in its third week on chart finally breaks into the Top 5 (5) after climbing six places. The stirring rock ballad is the second UK Top 40 entry for the Washington native, following 2022’s In The Stars which peaked at 21.

Following his first entry into the Top 20 last week, YG Marley’s Praise Jah In The Moonlight (9) impressively jumps 11 places this week. The artist self-released his debut single, but music is in his blood; the grandson of Bob Marley, he was encouraged to release the song after performing it with his mother, Lauryn Hill, at her concerts. It’s another week and another peak for Ella Henderson & Rudimental on Alibi (16) lifting eight. The track samples Coolio’s 1995 Number 1 classic Gangsta’s Paradise, one of the best-selling singles in UK chart history. Fresh off securing their debut Number 1 album with Prelude to Ecstasy, The Last Dinner Party rise three to reach a new peak with Nothing Matters (19) becoming the band’s first UK Top 20 single. Justin Timberlake continues to make moves with comeback track Selfish (29) up eight places week-on-week, as Michael Marcagi’s Scared To Start rises seven (31) reaching a new career best for the artist, who hails from Ohio. And finally, rising UK indie-rock duo Good Neighbours – aka Essex-born Oli Fox and South London-based Scott Verrill – secure a place in the Top 40 for the first time with nostalgic debut single Home (40), vaulting a magnificent 41 places.
