smallCon S.T.E.A.M. “And though she be but little, she is fierce!” Convention debuts in September with one goal: Inspire Women
ADDISON (September 9, 2017) – A power team of driven Millennial women are bringing a full-day convention to Dallas with one goal in mind: to introduce and support the female Dallas community with (S.T.E.A.M) activities: science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and writing.

“I’ve been working with computers and building websites since I was 14. I remember I was almost always the only girl in the forums or figuring things out with a group of guys. This convention is meant to bring us together! We will host a panel of ladies to talk about their careers and their projects in STEAM. We’ll have demonstrations and workshops for adults and kids alike. Expect to build cool things! ” Danita Rambo, President, smallCon team
AdditIonally, smallCon will introduce a number of speakers with topics ranging from careers in nature conservation to fictional women doing real science.
Hands-on activities will include drone building, lego engineering, and science experiments.
“Individuals can expect to see a highly interactive event that is inviting for women, men, girls, boys, and everyone of all ages. The goal is not to alienate anyone by this event, but to show support and examples of women who have had the ability to explore STEAM related fields. smallCon is open to all people of any age and any interest with a tagline that encompasses “And though she be but little, she is fierce!” smallCon S.T.E.A.M.

smallCon is a 501(c)3 non-profit that endeavors to educate the public about women in S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) services.
