Fullbright Co. Sells 250,000 Copies of Gone Home: from ign.com

Steve Gaynor, founder of The Fullbright Co., revealed to Joystiq that Gone Home has sold 250,000 copies. He added that around 80 percent of the sales came via Steam.

Sales of Gone Home exceeded 50,000 units after a month on the marketplace, at which point Gaynor said, “… we are also doing alright as far as sales numbers go.”

Last month, Gaynor implied that Gone Home theoretically takes place in the Bioshock and System Shock universe. “In a totally non-[litigious] way, we very lightly imply that [Gone Home] also takes place in the same universe as BioShock,” Gaynor said on theTone Control podcast. “And in Minerva’s Den, again in a totally non-litigious way, we very lightly imply that BioShock takes place in the same universe as System Shock. So, in theory, if you were to make a lot of logical leaps, all of those games have been linked together by our ridiculous retconning.”

IGN found Gone Home amazing in its review of the PC and Mac game. And Game Scoop! has a spoiler-filled discussion of Gone Home, which you can watch below.
