Dishonored 2 Review By Jamal Dominique

Dishonored is an adventure stealth series video game made by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. Now I have never ever been good at stealth games, but they have a special place in my heart, because of the Sly Cooper series. Since I not good at normal third person stealth games, I was at an extreme disadvantage playing this first person stealth game. That said Dishonored 2 is amazing.

1st off the graphic and level design of the game is wonderful. Everything looks amazing. The levels are huge and worth exploring because there are a ton of collectables to collect. The best part of the game is the weapons and powers that you can use. In the game you have to pick which character that you want to use. You can play as Emily Kaldwin who has awesome shadow powers or you can use her dad Corvo Attano, who has the power to control rats. I choose Emily because I found out the she had shadow powers and I think that is cooler than controlling rats.

The option to choose doesn’t end there, because you have to decide how you want to play the first person stealth game. If you want to kill everyone who gets in your way, the game will send out harder enemies, the streets will be flooded with bloodflies and you will earn the bad ending. If you choose to only kill people that you have to and knockout everyone else, you will earn the good ending. As someone who received the bad ending because I suck at stealth games. It was harder to finish in the end because the streets were filled with hard enemies and bloodflies. The choices of which character to use and how to play should interest a lot of the gamers that I know, so I recommend playing the game to all gamers who aren’t causal players. There are so many different things to collect and upgrade in the game that it could take a long, long time to collect. I spent the first three hours of my playtime trying to collect like a few of these collectables. Most of the collectables give you new powers and weapons so you kind of have to collect them to get the most out of the game. The game should last about ten to twenty hours depending on how much you collect upgrades and collectables, and then if you play again with the other character then it’s easily double that, which is great for a single player game. The game has a pretty high replay value, especially if you want to 100% complete the game.

I mention earlier how the game level design is expansive and amazing. The game is set in a universe where the industrial revolution is half steampunk half awesome robots half dark magic and half stealth knife to the throat. I have to double down on how awesome the graphics look because, “Damn Gina, these graphics are wonderful. The story is okay, I guess. It is simply the story of the evil person comes and takes a royal family member and you play the game to get them back and hopefully put the kingdom back to together.

I don’t know how this game relates to the last game. I didn’t play Dishonored 1, so I barely know the story from that game. But the graphics and gameplay are probably a little better than they were in the last installment. I think that this game is more fun to play than other stealth games (game like Assassin’s Creed whatever) because of the unique first person experience. It puts a different spin on these types of games that I have never really experienced before. But Assassin Creed is easier to pick up and put down. If you want to be good at Dishonored 2 you will have to set aside a lot of time to learn the buttons and how to play the game the correct way with stealth and cunning. I really don’t even any gripes about the game, besides that I think it is too hard to play, because I stink and stealth games, especially first person stealth games. Overall Dishonored 2 is a super fun, pretty looking first person stealth game. I give it a
