“A haunting and timely documentary that everybody must see!”

In a world with so much tech,  it feels like we should have a better grip on reality and the truth, but what we don’t know looms so much larger than the majority of us realize. This film helps fill in the blanks and tell a bigger story as well as why it’s a must-see film.

Your Attention Please is a documentary about the monetization of your attention and how companies are not only making money from it but using it to target you. So sinisterly so that they are willing to lie to Congress about it just like the heads of the largest tobacco companies once did when they said nicotine was not addictive and hazardous to your health.

The direction and editing of the film are great and make it easy to watch while still providing so much information and all the evidence you need to back it up. There is a lot to digest with good reason.  There is a flow throughout that is easy to follow and keeps your attention until the end.

Filled with interviews and clips from whistleblowers and experts, you will also hear from people who have had a personal stake in the laws proposed to regulate tech and predatory practices.  Their stories are powerful and help make this film great.

Overall, I would give this documentary a nine! I think it was so well done and a watch that really sticks with you. There is so much information that everyone needs to see, and it applies to everyone. Watch it if for no other reason than watching the robot that is Zuckerberg glitch when asked to apologize to the families of social media victims, and then the mechanical likeness of an apology that follows. Not only would I recommend this movie to everyone, but I would also recommend you partner it with Social Dilemma on Netflix.
