Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. today released a new trailer showcasing the many features and enhancements coming in PAC-MAN WORLD™2 Re-PAC, a loving remake of one of the most popular PAC-MAN™ games of all time. Packed with exciting action-platformer game play and featuring charming nods to the iconic character’s classic games, the title powers up the original with significantly enhanced visuals, all-new game play mechanics, new and expanded levels, and VO acting for all the main characters.
PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC is slated for release on September 26, 2025, and is available now for pre-orders on PlayStation®5, Playstation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™, Nintendo Switch™2, and PC via Steam®. PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC modernizes the game play of the original while faithfully retaining its charm. Players can now perform new actions to take on foes including Super Butt Bounce, Ice Skating, Pac-Marine and more. They also get enhanced mechanics such as the Flip Kick and Snorkeling. A new Fairy Mode makes the game approachable for more players by making it easier to traverse platform puzzles and making Pac-Man impervious to certain hazards and attacks. Boss battles have been updated, and new bosses have been added to the game. An improved new Time Attack Mode lets players compete for global leaderboards by speedrunning levels. Additional features that add endless fun and replayability to the game include three classic PAC-MAN titles – the original PAC-MAN™, PAC-ATTACK™, and PACMANIA™ – available to play in the Village arcade as well as Gashapon machines where players can spend earned in-game coins for collectible figures.
Originally released in 2002, PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC puts players in the role of the iconic character, embarking on a journey across Pac-Land. Players will navigate through six unique worlds, with environments such as meadows, an ice peak, and a volcano, while facing off against the Ghosts and their boss Spooky. For the first time in the PAC-MAN WORLD series, PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PACalso introduces a 2-player couch co-op mode, allowing players to experience the journey across Pac-Land together.
