Raúl Castillo (Task, Army of the Dead) has joined the series regular cast of AMC’s The Walking Dead: Dead City for Season 3 in the role of Luis. Production is currently underway in Boston.
The Walking Dead: Dead City follows the characters of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) as they travel into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, which has been cut off from the mainland for a long time.
In Season 2, in the growing war for control of Manhattan, Maggie and Negan find themselves trapped on opposite sides. As their paths intertwine, they come to see that the way out for both is more complicated and harrowing than they ever imagined.
When the show was renewed for a third season, it was announced that franchise vet Seth Hoffman was taking over as showrunner. Aimee Garcia also joined the series regular cast for Season 3 as Renata.

Castillo currently stars in Brad Ingelsby’s HBO series Task. Additional TV credits include Looking (HBO), Atypical (Netflix), Vida (Starz) and American Horror Stories from Ryan Murphy (FX).
On the film side, he will next be seen in the movie remake of The Hand That Rocks The Cradle for 20th Century Studios, premiering Oct. 22 via Hulu and Disney+. Recent film credits also include Smile 2 (Paramount), The Inspection (A24), for which he received a Gotham Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Performance, Cha Cha Real Smooth (Apple TV+), Cassandro (Prime Video), Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead (Netflix) and Guy Ritchie’s Wrath of Man. He is repped by CAA, JWS Entertainment, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.
