Netflix House is here and adding another layer of experience with the streaming giant. For over 25 years, Netflix has been part of our lives starting with the main-in DVD rental service to the first streaming channel and also the first to produce its own content. Now it gives us fans a truly immersive experience with the Netflix House. The first One opened outside of Philadelphia in November, but the second one is located at the Galleria Mall in Dallas Texas, opening on December 11, 2025. That Nerd Show was on the scene to explore this fantastic immersive experience. It’s no secret that we’re fans of some of Netflix’s original content, they’ve got great shows. We’re nerds so of course we’re fans of Stranger Things. Cobra Kai has been one of our favorites along with Wednesday and One Piece. These are just some of our favorite original Netflix shows and it was only right that we visit the Netflix House in Dallas. I got to explore and take advantage of some of the rooms along with Jessica Spawn from Gal on the Prowl. Now while we cannot give any spoilers regarding the immersive experiences especially the Stranger Things room, this is more of a review and why you should check out Netflix House
Making Netflix House part of one of the biggest malls in Texas is genius. If you don’t want to shop with the rest of the family, you can take advantage of the Netflix House whether it’s just the arcade or actually trying one of the immersive experiences. The restaurants are pretty good too. Netflix bites is one of our favorites. Now I won’t lie, it can be kind of pricy, you’ll be paying $20 for a pizza and over $10 for other entrees. And yes, the immersive experiences are going to cost you about $40 to $45 per person, However, its totally worth it if you are a fan of the show Stranger Things or Squid Games. But keep in mind that these immersive shows will be changing about every 6 to 8 months so fans can experience a new one related to one of Netflix’s shows. I also have to admit that the arcade is pretty fun and has some fairly unique games that are centered on Netflix content. It’s not like a regular arcade that you would find in the mall. Although it does feel a lot like the arcade that you’d find in season 2 of Stranger Things, but do it before you eat because you’re going to need some cardio for some of the games. The Lava Floor game is pretty cool and there’s games related to stranger things as well as Squid Games.
The immersive rooms that are the real treat. Like I said they can be pricey, but totally worth it. If you are fans of Stranger Things then doing this room is an absolute must. It’s better than a haunted house. It literally drops you into the action of Hawkins and the upside down. The performances are great and kudos to the special effects. I wish I could tell you what to expect, no spoilers, you need to be surprised. There are plenty of jump scares. For me it was the attention to detail. I truly felt like I was at the high school or the police station in Hawkin There’s a lot more I can say but this is all I will say to you. We provide a couple of pictures, but won’t dare give you any spoilers. Personally I have been a big fan of this show since the beginning. I was one of these kids growing up in the ’80s and ’90s. It’s nerd heaven and you better believe that I have my Hellfire Club T-shirt which I proudly war while experiencing the Netflix House in Dallas. I’ve certainly enjoyed haunted houses even in adulthood, but this was way better. Sure you know how the story ends at the end of season 4, but putting you into the action is what’s great about the Stranger Things Experience. They truly outdid themselves by creating a fantastic experience regarding Stranger Things and Squid Games. We can’t wait to see the other rooms that come next summer.
What’s the verdict on Netflix House. Absolutely check it out if you are a fan of the brand. If you’ve love a lot of their shows then you need to experience the Netflix house at least once. It may be expensive, but It doesn’t disappoint. Doing the Stranger Things experience makes me more excited for the final season of the show. And for us the experience was made even better by getting to do the room with Chester Rushing who played Tommy H in season 1 and 2 of Stranger Things. He plays one of Steve Harrington’s friends. And he provided probably the best quote of doing the Stranger Things experience…”It was so good that it was like being back on set!” We “nerded” out together and I encourage nerds everywhere to check out his body of work. He will be voicing Superman in an upcoming DC animation project and does voice work in Creature Commandos. The Netflix house in Dallas officially opens just in time for Christmas. if you’re looking for something fun to do during the holidays even though it’s at a mall, totally worth it. With all the talk of Netflix acquiring Warner Bros and what that means, Netflix House it the true success story. Netflix has come a long way in 25 years and fans can get a full immersive experience beyond just streaming their favorite shows. Netflix House is totally an experience worth having.
