Numskull Games is proud to announce that 2D action roguelike Folly Of The Wizards will officially release on 19th September 2025. Play as a plucky (and clumsy) wizards’ apprentice learning the arcane arts as they rise through the ranks of a shadowy wizarding cult – armed with nothing more than their wits and some extremely unstable magical abilities.
This 2D magic roguelike throws players into procedurally generated dungeons teeming with bizarre enemies, magical mishaps, and plenty of slapstick sorcery. Cast unpredictable spells, navigate traps, and platform through 10 whimsical regions filled with secrets, surprises, and cultish chaos. No two runs will ever be quite the same, and it’ll take the full might of players’ wizarding wits to stay focused if they want to make it out in one piece.
Whether you’re befriending or betraying powerful wizards, collecting over 100 unique items, or accidentally blowing yourself up (again), every run offers fresh laughs and frantic action. Players can look forward to:
