Co-created by Curt Pires & artist Luca Casalanguida, the new giant-sized Lost Fantasy issues will also feature the return of fan-favorite series Indigo Children as a serialized backup story
Bestselling writer Curt Pires (Indigo Children) reteams with Money graphic novel co-collaborator artist Luca Casalanguida (James Bond) on Lost Fantasy, a new Image Comics ongoing comic book series launching this April.
In addition to this brand-new video-game inspired fantasy tale—which pays homage to the popular game Final Fantasy—the giant-sized Lost Fantasy comics will also feature a serialized backup story, Indigo Children: Exodus, that continues Pires’ hit sci-fi series Indigo Children.
Lost Fantasy explores an alternate history where a world of magic, myth, and monsters exists just beneath the surface of our own…and is threatening to break through. Fans of East of West and Something is Killing the Children will enjoy the monster-slaying historically-revisionist Lost Fantasyseries, with the added bonus of a new Indigo Children mystery.
In Lost Fantasy, a magical world lies beneath ours, and first contact was made over a hundred years ago between the two worlds due to a natural disaster, resulting in a schism that allowed monsters to break through. Since then, secret monster slayers, known as The Great Hunters, have been working with global leaders to police the border and to keep our world safe from the creatures that lurk in the shadows. But last night, something broke through, resulting in a mysterious mass killing in Montana, and causing things to shift in a way that will ripple through both worlds.
