Emerge from the mud as an amorphous blob and avoid deadly predators before sidling up crabwise and pinching a creature’s lifeforce – or ghost the animals and stick to plants if you prefer a peaceful approach. Add weird and wonderful evolutions to your creature and escape carcinisation, with over 100 evolutions based on real-life animals combining to create a complex chimera of a character. Be like a Potamon and collect them all!
Everything is Crab’s world is a living ecosystem, with a day and night cycle and a range of biomes from arctic snow to the red rock desert. Watch out for giant enemy bosses and dodge their attacks while you wait for an opening, before nipping away at their health bar while chitin around them. Adapt and survive in these harsh conditions or face terrible consequences, like being killed – or worse! (Actually no, dying is the worst thing that can happen).
Be reborn with new genetic traits earned through (un)successful runs and fiddler with difficulty settings to see how far you’ve really evolved. Complete challenge scenarios, like surviving the Ice Age, to push your skills to the limit and prove you’re the king of the animal kingdom!
Everything is Crab is the first game from indie studio Odd Dreams Digital, who are a real development team and definitely not several crabs in a trench coat. It will launch on PC via Steam some time in 2026, but don’t feel blue – you can jump into the free Steam Playtest right now and sink your claws into the action for a short time.
