Rangchu is Immortalized as TEKKEN 8’s First King of Iron Fist
TOKYO, Japan (Dec. 9, 2024) – Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. celebrated a thrilling conclusion at TEKKEN World Tour Finals 2024 in Tokyo, crowning Rangchu as the champion after an intense showdown with ATIF. The game’s inaugural Finals event also included exciting announcements, unveiling upcoming content updates planned for TEKKEN™ 8 as well as a tease of Season 2, which begins in Spring 2025.
Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, TEKKEN 8 brings the fight to the new generation, harnessing the power of Unreal® Engine 5 to push the envelope for fighting games. The long-awaited sequel in the legendary franchise is one of the highest rated titles in the series. It continues to deliver new content following its launch in January 2024, for the first time adding a new Story Mode chapter and providing players with new characters and stages, in-game items, and exciting collaborations with high-profile brands such as NIKE and Gentle Monster. At the event, exciting content updates were revealed for TEKKEN 8 including a tease of the game’s Season 2. Details revealed included that Photo Mode has been further enhanced, featuring a Player Search function that allows players to locate others using their TEKKEN ID. Additionally, bonus levels will be added to the Fight Pass, offering players even more rewards and challenges to enjoy. Additional details on upcoming content will be unveiled at a later time.
