The latest development in the search for life elsewhere – Professor Nikku Madhusudhan from the Institute of Astronomy at the University of Cambridge explains recent observations with the James Webb Space Telescope which have led to the most confident detection so far of biomarker molecules DMS and/or DMDS in a habitable zone planet outside the solar system.
Professor Madhusudhan talks about what this detection means, how statistically significant it is and what it means to the search of life elsewhere.
