Developer Strange Scaffold (I Am Your Beast, CLICKOLDING), in partnership with Paramount Game Studios, brings the first-ever turn-based TMNT video game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown, to players with its debut demo – available now as part of Steam Next Fest: February 2025 Edition.
Inspired by the classic TMNT cartoon, Tactical Takedown reimagines the franchise with an innovative mix of turn-based strategy and beat-em-up action. The Steam Next Fest demo features a short tutorial and a modified version of the first chapter of the game, inviting players to experience the turtle action firsthand as they take on the nefarious Foot Clan in strategic battles.
Splinter and Shredder are dead, and as the Turtles approach adulthood, they’re not just growing up… they’re growing apart. In this unique take on the world of TMNT, players fight through 20 constantly-mutating levels that grow, shrink, and add new threats with each turn. Each Turtle – Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael – has unique movesets and super moves, allowing for deep tactical play. Players can modify loadouts, unlock skills, and carve through figurine-like foes in a diorama-inspired world.
Tactical Takedown brings the Turtles world to life with a striking graphic novel-inspired art style, featuring bold paint splatters and detailed diorama setpieces. The game’s action is backed by a high-energy, multi-genre soundtrack from award-winning composer RJ Lake (Unbeatable, I Am Your Beast).
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown Steam Next Fest demo is available now through March 3, 2025. The game launches later this year on Steam for PC. For more information, follow Strange Scaffold on X and BlueSky.
